Kenchiku Jidai (建築時代), issue No. 13 from October 1930.
This edition includes explanations by Renshichiro Kawakita and 20 photo plates. The plates features designs by the Frankfurt architect Franz Schuster. These consist of standardized basic elements (shelves, cabinets, pedestals) that can be assembled in a modular fashion—a precursor to today’s modular furniture. as well as numerous panels featuring furniture by Eileen Gray and Jean Badovici.
Very scarce; as of March 2026, OCLC locates no copy in North America.
The spine is slightly damaged at the bottom near the binding, but overall, especially on the inside, this is a clean and fresh copy.
