In the 1920s, Japanese architects showed enormous interest in European modernism. Mendelsohn’s style, which used reinforced concrete to create fluid, sculptural forms, was considered groundbreaking. Such “collections of study drawings” served as important reference materials in Japanese architectural firms at the time.

The one-page introductory text in Japanese quotes Howard Morley Robertson (1888–1963), an American-born British architect and President of the Royal Institute of British Architects.

I can’t find this title in OCLC.

A nice copy; only the binding is torn.
