The book contains designs and patterns for traditional Japanese items such as kimonos, Obis (belts), Geta (wooden sandals), hand mirrors, tableware, and fabrics. These pattern books served as a source of inspiration for artisans, textile designers, and graphic designers. They featured modern interpretations of traditional Japanese motifs, combined with Western influences.

Plate 1 has more foxing spots; the other plates are in fine condition; the cover is slightly dusty.
